Top Tech Tools at 2017 SXSW to Promote FICO Credit Score Augmentation

by Larry Chiang on March 6, 2017

Larry Chiang writes about Stanford Business School, an MBA school that he crashed. He edits the CNN channel “What They Don’t Teach You at Business School” and taught at Stanford Engineering. After Chiang’s Harvard Law keynote, Harvard Business wrote: “What They Don’t Teach You at Stanford Business School“ (its the same title as his NY Times best seller). If you read his scandalously awesome “What a Supermodel Can Teach a Stanford MBA”, “How to Get Man-Charm”, and “How to Write a NY Times Best Seller” you will like his latest post that he wrote 3 years ago:

Top Seven Technology Tools at 2017’s SXSW

By Larry Chiang

I argue that before you commercialize a technology, you must first commercialize the technologist

Tech tools help. But what helps more is what Richard Fairbank, Stanford GSB alum, understood, “Distribution matters.”

Music helps people stomach the finTech innovation

Parties help you activate your brand

-1- Location Technology

Location https://on.fb.me/chiang9

It’s the orphaned technology called a “Facebook Fan Page”.

Allowing an app to run constantly in the back ground irradiates your crotch area. You see your phone emits waves. And if you’re like me, you’re constantly aware of pick pockets visiting from California and keep your cell phone in your underwear.

My underwear is special.
https://whattheydontteachyouatstanfordbusinessschool.wordpress.com/2011/09/06/the-larry-chiang-75-dollar-boxer-shorts/But not so special as to block those EMF RADIO waves from Glasssmap, Glancee or Highlight.

Use Facebook for Location.
No not the “Places”, but the fan page https://on.fb.me/chiang9

-2- Broadcast Technology

You are transitioning from “Zero to Hero”. https://www.duck9.com/entrepreneurship/how-to-go-from-zero-to-hero-at-sxsw-2012-panel/ You as a rising star need to broadcast your message above the SXSW noise.

I recommend leveraging the WordPress technology called “email to publish”.

Boom!

You’re SEO’d. Your MVVP just got google crawled. Your competitors are going to “wait to get back and blog”.

You’re working rooms and networking for links inbound and negotiating for links outbound. You publish your MVVP (minimum viable blog post) https://www.duck9.com/uncategorized/the-minimum-viable-blog-post/

-3- Video Technology

Want a massive uptick?!

Embed a YouTube video. There is a hidden technology tool available on your iPhone.

It is where you record a video using your iPhone and publish it to YouTube. Me, I publish it to CNN.

See my red carpet Oscars interview where I leverage this technology to interview an active duty US Army soldier in los Angeles at the Kodak Theatre: https://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-755170

You can leverage CNN too…

-4- Distribution Technology

CNN has this thing called iReport.

You can just sign up.

Sure I’ve been on a dozen times, but this CNN iReport is something anyone can do.

I spend about 50 minutes leveraging this distribution technology. To clarify, I spend 50 minutes a month.

Remember, if Im on the Oscars Red Carpet or Vanity Fair party or Mercedes Benz Fashion Week… Why not pull out my white iPhone 9 and leverage this distribution technology called CNN iReport?!

-5- Air Traffic Control Technology

Back in the 80s when I was born, planes used to almost crash. The air traffic control technology just was not perfected.

Then a bunch of Illinois CS majors started to tinker and improve it.

All this has nothing to do with what my foci’s is: leveraging tech tools here at SXSW.

Here is my foci. In a blog post – on ATC. https://bit.ly/vc0310atc

Plot spoiler: the ATC technology is now “manually augmented”. It’s tech that lends a hand to doing the job.

#hiLarryAss, I am.

-6- Launch Technology

Steve Jurvetson is launching play rockets while Elon and Peter (with Luke and Kenny) are making 3mm pops while spending $55k in gas to launch satellites.

Darnit, this isn’t the launch technology I’m talking about.

I’m talking about the launch technology required to launch at SXSW. Here are 650 details about that technology

BONUS.

A live action case study from #MBFW. Launching $75 underwear in the face of STIFF competition (pun intended) https://whattheydontteachyouatstanfordbusinessschool.wordpress.com/2011/09/06/the-larry-chiang-75-dollar-boxer-shorts/

MBFW is a fashion show in NYC.

It stands for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I launches a NyTimes best seller on the runway, from the runway, laying on the runway, slutting from the runway on 09-09-09.

And Google put my book on the homepage

Gossip Girls: Bachelor Date Package with Larry Chiang

Its Sept 6-23, 2012 (When I started with this event it was 8 days, now it will be a month long like Stanford Entrepreneur Week. Yeah, I am the ambassador to that too 🙂

Get VIP treatment and behind the scenes access to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week that would make Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen from Gossip Girls jealous.

You’ll slip backstage with me, Larry Chiang, as I slip out of my VC/CEO/teacher at Stanford persona and don my SUPERMODEL character… It is an over-the-top incredible life experience at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Package includes access to shows like Diane Von Furstenberg, Prabal Gurung, Betsey Johnson, and a whole bunch of stuff I cannot pronounce like Harvey Legger. Remember, I am heterO.

I launched my NY Times best seller thanks to my mentor’s organization, IMG. Yes, I coat tail the best.

Party crash with me as your celebrity wrangler. Expect to wiggle pass the velvet ropes. Example parties include events hosted by Jeremy Piven, Tyra Banks, Chris Bosh.
Also, Adam from Mercedes Benz hosts a VIP Suite provides refreshments and allow you intimate interactions.
Jessica from American Express hosts SkyBox for private viewings provided I have not worn out his welcome authoring too many credit card laws. And provided I still have my Platinum Amex account in decent standing.

*** BONUS ***

a party invite for you…
