Too “Inside Baseball”

by Larry Chiang on May 23, 2015

Larry Chiang investigates and experiences entrepreneurship and pre-entrepreneurship. He covers the front-lines via Bloomberg BusinessWeek’s channel “What They Don’t Teach You at Business School”. He has a JBA not an MBA. Its a Jedi in Business Administration. After Chiang’s Harvard Law keynote, Harvard Business wrote: “What They Don’t Teach You at Stanford Business School“ (the same title as his NY Times bestseller). If you read his scandalously awesome “How to Hack at AfterParty“, “What a Supermodel Can Teach a Stanford MBA” and “How to Get Man-Charm”, you will like his latest post:

“Larry Chiang, You Are Too ‘Inside Baseball'”

By Larry Chiang

Thank you for your honest feedback!

Thank you for reading my stuff too. I realize the core content is amazing but my delivery is not the best. I’ve uncovered some of the deepest and most innovative VC concepts.
I sit “1st chair”.

There is a congruency where a lot of VCs have advice that dovetails. For example, the vp sales role at Saas, software and app companies. Anyway, I’m aware that it is also too “inside baseball”. But, I view the jargon of entrepreneurship and terminology VCs use to criticize reveals constructive patterns. Let me repeat. The jargon reveals patterns. The jargon reveals a picture and series of picutures.

For example, the practice of infusing sales skills into founders is done via an ‘inside entrepreneurship’ method via – #CSmajorCRO – beyond jargon is quoting systematized bit ly links

Steve Blank is sblank710,

– Peter’s sequel class cs 183 b done by Sam Altman that I curate on my 50,402 tweets in Twitter feed under https://twitter.com/larryChiang’s “#CS183b”

– #ENGR145s – #cs183s (all Stanford content has free YouTubes) These are all VC secrets hiding in plain view and are exploding out of my brain. :-))

Hope the VC jargon and the VC ‘hashtaggification’ de-mysterious and makes VCs jargon less of a mystery. Less “inside baseball” by doing more reveals via hashtags. Less inside baseball by doing more inside baseball.
