Hackers hack socially as well as systemically. There is an inverted “U” curve where our knowledge of tech actually starts to be a disadvantage. I dealt with this exact issue as a 21 year old, 20+ years younger than the average on the Fortune 100 tech sales team. <\/div>\n

Here are a few social hacks to increase your street smarts<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
-1- Take paper notes<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Moleskins are actually the notepad of choice for serial entrepreneurs and VCs. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Plus, you can hide the fact that its Evernote API driven or LiveScribe compatible. Paper notes make someone college educated in the 90’s, 80s and definitely 70’s, more comfortable. Paper notes can actually control a conversation. Paper notes help you to EUBM. #EUBM is<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
-2- Engineer Up a Business Model. #EUBM<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Generationally, EUBM is a social hack and a business hack and a Lean Startup Up (trademark Eric Ries) short-cut. EUBM is also a VC hack and a creative founder financing hack. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
EUBM is where you uncover a specific pain that is associated with a specific dollar amount. EUBM uses a “one way letter of intent” and ‘internal escrow’. Google EUBM for the exact 35 steps. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The idea here is that you are leveraging the generational gap. You’re crossing the innovation chasm FROM THE RIGHT. EVERYONE else is trying to cross from the left<\/div>\n

THEY WILL ASK YOU HOW OLD YOU ARE. This is how old people qualify and judge. They also might ask you what college you went to. Err go to. They never ask you, “Hey! This application protocol interface is pretty amazing, what other business case studies have you to show.”<\/div>\n

Nope, they think that question but ask, “HOW OLD ARE YOU”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Say, “I fondly remember my sophomore year”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
-4- Don’t Orgasm Your Knowledge<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Remember, there exists the smallest difference between a junior in CS and (ahem!) a 30 year old. I know this is true. 30 yo CS pros know this. Don’t be insecure in this fact. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Your insecurity seems like an uncontrolled explosion of knowledge. Remember, middle America still doesn’t use an API. If you saw my ENGR 145 video…<\/div>\n
