Tired of being called a Dinosaur?!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
First, lets define dinosaur. A person who self-labels as a person who isn’t tech savvy and seems antiquated. Feels like the world is off it’s rocker with social networks that do not make common sense.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Next, lets embrace who we are at-the-core. And maybe tweak it ever-SO-slightly. It’s my signature maneuver of going from “tech dinosaur back to Titan”.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
There is some really good news for you, the dinosaur:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
-1- Every social network that you don’t belong to now will die (eventually). In time, mySpace, Friendster and AOL<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
-2- Engineer something that only has upside and very little additional resources needed.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Lets take the pattern of being a photog in NYC.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Just take equity and incubate the<\/div>\n
– next Instagram<\/div>\n
– sit and judge VC panels<\/div>\n
– help with Distribution of the next Flickr.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Leverage wordpress as a PR engine for events you cover that want press by<\/div>\n
– pre blogging event on wordpress<\/div>\n
– live blogging.<\/div>\n
– post event coverage (with watermarked photos)<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
