How to get a hotel room upgrade<\/div>\n
For the simplicity of this WordPress blog post we will separate it into two categories, nice hotels and five star resorts. Just in time for vacation season is the method of negotiating for a hotel room upgrade.<\/div>\n
✅ Counter intuition, and counterintuitive truths help<\/div>\n
Five, five dollar bills  <\/div>\n
Upon presentation of picture, ID and American Express green card\u2026 You also present five Abraham Lincoln\u2019s  ~ and then say to the front desk manager: \u201canything you can do for a room upgrade, I greatly appreciate\u201d<\/div>\n
That\u2019s for a nice hotel, such as Westin, Hilton, JW Marriott, de Soleil Auberge de Sol\u00e9, Sheraton,  Renaissance.<\/div>\n
Tipping 5X5 dollars should get you into a junior suite<\/div>\n
Let\u2019s say you\u2019re at a five star resort, we are going to need to both razor game and lower our game<\/div>\n
I would keep the tip at five, five dollar bills. But emphasize there\u2019s more where that came from.<\/div>\n
So after you present your picture ID and American Express platinum and five5 dollar bills you say, \u201canything you can do to upgrade my room. I greatly appreciate. Think of those as five drink tickets to Starbucks.<\/div>\n
By the way, if you get me into a nicer suite, I will be sure to tip you much more\u201d<\/div>\n
✅ using common sense you would think that calling them on the telephone is a technique to get an upgrade<\/div>\n
I would never do that because that would never work. In the comments, let me know if you\u2019re a big theory person or a person that execute shiitake that actually works.<\/div>\n
✅ before arriving five star resort, I google who the general manager was<\/div>\n
I show up from my private flight and present the gift bag to the general manager<\/div>\n
Then I navigate with the front desk, person my protocol for tipping. <\/div>\n
✅ tipping half the comp<\/div>\n
If they comp you $1500 a night, I\u2019d be tipping a lot<\/div>\n
✅ inventory and available inventory<\/div>\n
Even sold out situations, it is always possible for me to be upgraded into a nicer room. If the hotel is completely vacant, I assume that I\u2019m getting an upgrade into the biggest suite.<\/div>\n
✅ People who stay in hotels, a lot tend to get upgraded a lot<\/div>\n
Front desk, people can identify professional travelers. Prof travelers are easy to talk to fun to interact with, and are the easiest to upgrade.<\/div>\n
How ready were you to pay for TIPS? Do you even have five dollar bills? How lazy are you the service industry by saying: I\u2019ll tip you next time.<\/div>\n
✅ When I arrive at the hotel, I visualize staying in a nice suite<\/div>\n

The LGBTQ community now understands that heterosexuals and men who are heterosexuals that are paying for sexy time in a hotel room, our vital to revenue generation<\/div>\n
✅ Having sexy people walk around the hotel in pool fashionwear gets people to open their wallet<\/div>\n
Sure there are posted signs saying appropriate attire is required<\/div>\n
