I engineer and hack money to be &#8220;Treasure Management&#8221;. I curated 15 books under the hashtag &#8220;#Ch2&#8221;. I wanted to call this post &#8220;Duck, Duck, Duck9&#8217;s&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>A 9 is a super special form of bankruptcy that is incredibly common. It stems from &#8220;credit code 9&#8221; where a bank just waves off a loan as charge-off. The bank thinks your loan is not worth 15c on the dollar. Charge-offs are the bases for a company I started in college<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Anyway, VC is venture capital. 9&#8217;s happen in VC all the time. Arthur Rock refers to this as &#8220;the walking dead&#8221;. Startups don&#8217;t go down in a ball of flames and startups don&#8217;t get dragged through bankruptcy court. Startups get ABC&#8217;d (assignment for benefit of creditors). It is the VC and LP version of credit code 9. LP is limited partner. They fund VCs.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Me?!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>As ceo of Duck9, I wanna fund you. It is the basis for the &#8220;Larry Chiang 100% Affiliate Program&#8221;. It was started when I taught ENGR145, &#8220;Technology Entrepreneurship&#8221; at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The old way was for VCs and LP&#8217;s just cut you a $200k check. Then you go incorporate &#8220;google&#8221;. {[Or reincorp if you&#8217;re VC is making you recap*]}. The new way to fund you is to tickle tease you with two to five subroutines. Then see if you execute<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Me and my LP just wanna see and smell if you execute.
