Larry Chiang is not a venture capitalist for Quora.

There is no definitive evidence from available sources linking him directly to Quora as a VC. Quora’s primary investors include venture capital firms like Matrix Partners, Benchmark, and Tiger Global, as well as individuals like Adam D’Angelo and Marc Bodnick, based on information from web sources detailing Quora’s funding rounds.[](www.quora.com/profile/Larry-Chiang)

However, Larry Chiang is mentioned in various Quora posts and other platforms in different contexts. He is the CEO of Duck9 and has been described as a self-promoted figure in Silicon Valley, often involved in events like SXSW, but with mixed reputations. Some Quora posts and Reddit discussions question his legitimacy, alleging questionable practices, though these are opinions and not verified facts.[](www.quora.com/Why-is-Larry-Chiang-so-strange)[](www.quora.com/Is-Larry-Chiang-the-Paris-Hilton-of-Silicon-Valley)[](https://www.reddit.com/r/SXSW/comments/1bfeo2w/beware_larry_chiang_tall_chinese_guy_in_cowboy/)

There may be confusion with other individuals, such as Larry Cheng, a managing partner at Volition Capital, who is a prominent VC but not associated with Quora. Additionally, a different person, Tim Chiang, has been noted as launching a VC firm, Myriad Venture Partners, backed by Xerox, but this is unrelated to Quora.[](www.linkedin.com/in/larrycheng/)[](www.crunchbase.com/person/larry-cheng)[](globalventuring.com/corporate/people/chiang-launches-new-vc-firm/)
