Comenity Bank used to be World Financial Network National Bank (WFNNB)<\/div>\n

It was originally established in 1989 as part of Alliance Data Systems (now Bread Financial Holdings, Inc.) to handle private-label credit card services for retailers like J.C. Penney and The Limited. In 2012, WFNNB rebranded to Comenity Bank, while its sister institution, World Financial Capital Bank (WFCB), became Comenity Capital Bank. Both banks continue to operate as subsidiaries of Bread Financial, focusing on co-branded and store credit cards.<\/div>\n
