You just need to rediscover it. As a Stanford engineer, your role is to use stuff that exists and make life-company-world, better. What I mean is that attached your attempt at innovation with something that has been adopted. Your Engineering 145 team&#8217;s effort is the dotted line. The solid line is the mature market of a related product that HAS crossed the chasm<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"5455BB5E-7EF4-4610-9322-EDD8BEA8B88F\" src=\"https:\/\/www.duck9.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image12.jpg\" alt=\"image1.JPG\" \/><\/div>\n<div>Cross the Chasm From the Right (by overlaying a mature industry that has already crossed the innovation gap and is at &#8220;Main Street&#8221; \/ early majority \/ late majority \/ laggards \/ late adopters \/ pragmatists \/ proof-of-concept, completed &#x1f340;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>For example, &#8220;Collaborative Economy&#8221;. Marketing to the industry to manufacture cars to share in a community would be a hard sell.<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"7E5DF0DA-7B2A-48B4-B96C-8E387FC2E199\" src=\"https:\/\/www.duck9.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image21.jpg\" alt=\"image2.JPG\" \/><\/div>\n<div>BUT, reframing the the area-to-left-of-chasm as actually something old is genius.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>For example the slogan. &#8220;<i>The collaborative economy is actually just a compression algorithm for Are You A Good Neighbor to Lend My Tesla Car To<\/i>?&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In a video&#8230;<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eudADPfTWiE&amp;sns=em\"><embed src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/eudADPfTWiE&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"425\" height=\"344\"><\/embed><\/a><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);\">In a picture, it&#8217;s the collaborative economy in a honeycomb.
