Breaking Even, Getting to Zero Debt, and Seeing $600k By Graduation

by Larry Chiang on August 31, 2015

Staggering but true = Amount of new technology that seasoned execs need to process, assimilate and execute is STAGGERING.
This is the problem.
Solving it is profitable.
As undergrads, solving this problem nets you a portion of the savings. If you’re an undergrad, you should set the goal to break even.

“I had a credit card. $5,000 credit line. And I had my first customer. I was at break even.”

Pop your revenue cherry.

Get just one paid gig.

I judge you on how fast you return ‘invested capital’. #vcSecrets.

Right now, many undergrads have debt. If you’re a student athlete, let us pretend we had to pay for college even though we are on full scholarship, for the purposes of this blog posts exercise.

The richest you’ll ever feel is when you pay off all your debts and get back to zero.

There is a staggering amount of opportunity for CS majors to go learn at SalesForce.

The road to $600,000 #ENGR145 stops by $300. Going $0-600k goes by 300! #ZeroPt6
#Theorem #Of #SumThings

This is a pattern I see that everyone else sees too. But verrrry few can solve it. I see the pattern that just getting your first $300 in revenue really, really helps. Selling that first seasoned executive really helps.

There are a lot of excuses to not get to your first $300.

As an engineer, one of three internship should be pure sales. #HTMMWYMM #SelfFundSellFun #VCsecrets flip.it/hG57r
