The Cato Institute is returning to the Bay Area and invites you to join us! You’re invited to a Cato Institute Silicon Valley policy forum and luncheon at the Four Seasons East Palo Alto on Friday, April 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Jason Bedrick, policy analyst at the Cato Institute will kick off our program with a conversation about the future of education with Tom Arnett of the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation. They will discuss promising experiments in new educational models, technology in the classroom, blended learning, and the public policy barriers that prevent innovations in education from scaling up. Next, Emily Ekins, research fellow at the Cato Institute, will examine the moral foundations of the 2016 presidential election. She will be applying Moral Foundations Theory, developed in social psychology, to help explain the moral differences between the supporters drawn to each of the different presidential candidates.
Finally, our luncheon presentation will feature international entrepreneur Wences Casares, founder and CEO of Xapo.
Registration is $75 per person or $525 for a table of eight. To attend, please register online at https://securessl.cato.org/events/160408cs.html
We are looking forward to a great event. I hope you will be able to join us. Program below.
