FOIA is to the FBI as FCRA is to Credit Bureaus

by Larry Chiang on February 15, 2017

Larry Chiang commands Congressional attention with a J.B.A. Jedi in Business Administration. Neither Mark McCormack, his mentor nor he, went to Harvard Business School. But after Chiang’s Harvard Law School keynote, Harvard’s Harbus wrote: “What They Don’t Teach You at Stanford Business School”. Better than a credit bureau letter mailed from Chiang’s Palo Alto dorm room, this entrepreneurship article, “FOIA and FCRA” will leave you with more answers than questions.

You might be asking…, “What’s in it for me“: Better credit scores

Okay, fasten your seat belts because it’s gonna be a wild ride! FCRA is fair credit reporting act. Foia is Freedom of Information Act.

Fair Credit Reporting Act is actually less flexible than FOIA. Freedom of Information Act at least used to let you access information via email!!

The @ExpTransFax credit bureaus constructed a slew of FCRA protocol that fail by design. pic.twitter.com/0GnpdReYCe

“Fails by Design”
Your effort to startup a FICO score of 748.8 is engineered to fail, by design.

The FBI actually used to allow for email interaction. The three privately held credit bureaus allow for only USPS requests

Yes, United States postal service. Yes, many people under 50 have never mailed a letter to a POST office box. Yup, if you’re born after 1996, you will fail because FCRA is meant to have you FAIL. Will you fail to get to a FICO of 748.8? Will you follow me?!
You do not need to text me. Just follow protocol (aka a ‘signature business recipe’) #FICO748pt8

So the FBI uses email for interaction. The three credit bureaus @ExpTransFax force you to execute an ask via “United States postal service” as per FCRA. For some reason if you’re ugly and dumb you doubt my FCRA prowess. So, real quick…, check the mirror. If you see something ugly, dumb and lack a mentor…, leave this @duck9 blog post right now!

FOIA and FCRA are so confusing that congressman (and governors @govAbbott*) can’t get it straight

If you take my advice about records requests, you got a prayer… if you don’t you have nothing but air

Open up and swallow what I got for you. The advice will fill you with a FICO over 800. Swallow!!
