Larry Chiang is an instructional humorist and has a JBA (Jedi in Business Administration). He will get you your ROI for SXSW before you fly to Austin. After a Harvard Business School event, they wrote: “What They Don’t Teach You at Stanford Business School“. He taught ENGR145 as an EIR and now teaches us how to sell and relaunch a company at SXSW. It is called Sonar. Yes, he did this exact maneuver with Plancast after the board and founders had left it for dead
Oct 12, 2013 UPDATE: follow the progress using ‘POUND larry chiang sonar’ no space. Or as the cool kids say “#larrychiangSonar”. Why?! Because as of Oct 11, we cannot get @sonar out of zombie state
Oct 9, 2013 UPDATE: #CTCFTR is the hashtag for step “#g”. It is ‘cross the innovation chasm from the right’

When I say ‘sonar’ I mean broadcast your entrepreneur position.
My focus will be on the vertical of technical co-founders who only have tech co-founders. To be blunt, it is engineers only. This solves the issue I discovered at MIT and Palo Alto’s Community’s College (aka Stanford University) that a FedEx package is actually smarter and updates more that a CS major CEO.
The idea is to sonar ping back our mentors. The focus is on execution where we execute, document what we execute and execute some more. Bonus if you do a ‘mentor mention per press interview’.
The best pitch deck I have ever seen was actually at a public college. It had one slide. It listed three CS major founders. They all sold or promoted.
THE IDEA HERE IS TO HAVE ‘THE APP THAT WINS SXSW’ TO NOT EVEN BE AN APP,
BUT A HASHTAG.
THE IDEA IS TO NOT HAVE MY APP WIN. THE IDEA IS TO HAVE YOU WIN SXSW
Plan to win SXSW by engineering up the momentum! Plan to win SXSW by getting interviewed by me and maybe Robert Scoble during Entrepreneur Week at Stanford Mall Feb 25, 2014 (cost = free)
-BIRD (d1)- set your intention to practice entrepreneurship with me by tweeting “#LarryChiangSonar”. Nothing else. Just simply tweet: #LarryChiangSonar
