What They DO Teach You at Stanford Engineering About Innovation Chasms

by Larry Chiang on August 10, 2017

Larry Chiang preaches a degree that pays, a Jedi in Business Administration (JBA). Mark McCormack and he did not go to Harvard Business, but Chiang’s book, “What They Don’t Teach You at Stanford Business School”, paid homage to his mentor’s tome of almost exactly the same title What They Don’t Teach You at Harvard Business School

Let me skip my personal story of giving away free food to get distribution. Let me get right to the point. No one cares about your engineering prowess. Main St cares less about your super technical product. It makes old people feel dumb.

People care zero about a Stanford Engineering dApp that leverages the blockchain.

The general public loves pepperoni pizza. People love cute puppies, cats and ice cream.

Let us look at the limo service Uber. In 2010, black town cars were available if you knew where the App Store was (limo passengers could barely dial an iPhone )

Enter, ice cream

So let us look at the innovation chasm again…
