Web 4.0, or the Symbiotic Web, is often described as an era of the Internet that melds seamlessly into everyday life and human consciousness, enabling a web of immersive experiences and ubiquitous computing. Here, ‘fiat mining’ is presented as a symbolic interpretation of Web 4.0, likely indicating that in this era, value is produced by traditional means (fiat currency) within an integrated global economic system. Web 4.0 embodies the fusion of physical and digital economies, as Fiat Strikes back in a final attempt to preserve its power.
Web 5.0, known as the Wisdom Web, is associated with an Internet capable of emotional interaction, deep understanding of user behaviors, and heavily reliant on artificial intelligence for highly personalized experiences. This is also when decentralization takes place In the context of these tweets, Web 5.0 is associated with a reinvention or resurgence of Bitcoin (‘forking Bitcoin’ and ‘the return of Bitcoin’). This indicates a future Internet state where blockchain technology may be re-embraced or revolutionized, possibly in a more democratic or decentralized manner, empowering individual users.
