issue 011 🗞️ Dear WordPress Devs…
Why is it that WordPress Devs don’t think about the greater good of the internet?
I just finished a migration for a construction company, and like every CRM sales pipeline I build, I connect the client’s intake forms to Notion either by API or webhook.
Except in this case.
I knew the moment that my client said they were on WordPress, the project just got more involved, because 8/10 past projects I’ve had, use plugins that literally don’t work with the rest of the internet.
In this instance, we’re not talking about a single contact form, but a lead magnet quiz that spits out a cost estimation for the client’s remodel.
This quiz is used in ads & is a primary source of leads for my clients.
With roughly 25 leads per week coming in (even if it was lower), this quiz needed to work across the board — not create more work. However, the way it was developed (and the plugin that was used), required my client to manually download a CSV of the submissions, which often got put on the back-burner.
That’s A LOT of money being left on the table!

WordPress’d from my personal iPhone, 650-283-8008, number that Steve Jobs texted me on because this issue sara Loretta brings up reminds me of eventbrite and SalesForce where Julia Hartz and Marc Benioff had API’s that required hand curation and hamster wheeling the backend during DreamForce 2010 #DF14
