Someone anonymous (on Quora) asked you to answer
“What can I do to protect my good credit (score 840) during the next 6 to 8 months when I will have no fixed address?”
Quick thoughts on “Address Volatility and FICO Score” – 840 is pretty darn high already (jerk!) – I would worry about the mortgage dropping off the credit report (you say you just sold a house. – a mortgage stopping because it’s “paid off” / ‘house is sold’ hits your FICO for over 50++ points. – address volatility. You can go paperless statements, check them online and cancel the utilities in your name. But keep the same address. – If you change the address to you cousins, it’ll look like you’re living at a house you don’t own.
Are you joining a circus for 6-8 months? Or visiting Thailand?! Remember, theres nothing more permanent than a temporary stint in Thailand
