Building Through the Trough of Sorrow

The problem with the app agency model is a lack of commitment in building through the trough of sorrow to achieve the global maxima.
I sense the current generation of locked in consumer app builders are the drop shippers and info product slingers from the past generation.
They’re insanely talented marketers, but chase local maxima opportunities for $1-2M at a time.
Nothing wrong with that per-say, but there’s something inherently more intoxicating on building something that compounds over years.
Imagine a tweaked tiktok marketer + venture-backed product builder. Combined, it would be insane.
