Because I know of Sprint personally. They kept charging me after I had paid. They kept charging after my miFi equipment had exited the contract – What I mean is that the 2-year contract was up and my miFi was paid. So, I was surprised when Sprint sent my paid bill into collections.
Yeah, a paid bill.
I am lucky that I kept detailed records and paper proof. I am also lucky I paid with a paper check. I won a paper work war against a company who seems to patternistically send ex-customers into collections.
