VCs are the douchebag, agent-equivalents-in-LA, of Silicon Valley. They say jargon in a way that NFL pro athletes spit hashtags.
So, let us go behind the veil of secrecy and pierce that corporate lingo that I call JarGashTag– I’ll regurgitate an unintelligible phrase. Then I will translate it for you (plot spoiler, this ends in a fun game for fun and profit.)
“We don’t fund talent here. We fund temperature. And _____ is not hot right now”
TRANSLATION: I don’t think Roelof was investing in social. But I hear he likes car loans disintermdiated– Any way you can pivot to that!?
“We don’t like to start parades. Just join them”
Translation: this seems one quarter baked. And the fact that your plan for distribution included the spoke phrase “go viral” made us think: Didn’t everyone at Stanford take ENGR145.
Solution and a hilarious game to play
