Something I just told someone in my DMs that I think everyone needs to hear:Read the stuff from the Mises institute.
They’re radical right-libertarians, which isn’t everyone’s jam, but no organization or ideology in history has gotten as much autistic talent together to deep dive into every individual issue and write articles, academic studies, and book long takes about exactly why the government is screwing you on this particular micro-policy question, and how they’re doing it.
Like they have angry PHD level economists, historians, and political scientists doing this for free on EVERY SINGLE ISSUE, just because they’re that mad at how the government is screwing people.
Which sure that’s ideologically loaded, but these people are nothing if not sticklers for details and accuracy.
If you know the mainstream take on an issue, and you know the angry mises institute libertarain take on an issue… then it doesn’t matter what ideology you have or what your take on the issue is, you will sound insanely intelligent and informed when you talk about it.
