Thanks so much to all of you who were able to join us last Friday for our OpenX Launch!  We had a great time and we hope you did too!

As we mentioned, through OpenX we’ll be extending select elements of our closed accelerator program to all interested Stanford students, alumni entrepreneurs, and faculty!  So be sure to  check our OpenX page often for more information! Or signup to receive regular updates on upcoming OpenX events!

Looking forward to seeing you at our new HQ!
The StartX Team

Upcoming OpenX Event Highlights:

How to Hack Stanford 101 [RSVP Here]
TOMORROW, Tuesday, April 15, 5-6:30 PM

There are a million entrepreneurial resources at Stanford, but where can you go to get the specific help you need?
In this session, our CEO Cameron and our Campus Lead Andrew will be helping scrappy aspiring entrepreneurs understand what Stanford has to offer beyond its courses and how you can tap into the specific clubs, campus groups, and labs to get the answers you need to be enterprising!

Working at a Startup 101 [RSVP Here]
Tuesday, April 22, 7-9 PM

The startup life is not all rainbows and sunshine, but you do learn A TON!

This panel will showcase a number of StartX Alums and entrepreneurs who have joined and built early-stage companies. They will help you understand what it’s like to join an early stage company, what skills and attributes startups are looking for in their team, and what you can expect to learn during your time there.

(If you wish to attend our startup job fair the following week, this session is extremely recommended.)

Dive into Entrepreneurship (For Science, Humanities, Fine Arts and other non-Business Students) [RSVP Here]
Monday, April 28, 7-9 PM

Are you a Humanities, Science, or other non-traditional student or grad who is intrigued by entrepreneurship, but isn’t sure how to get involved?

This panel will showcase a number of StartX and Stanford community members who made their way into the startup world without the typical CS or business backgrounds.

StartX Company Job Fair [RSVP Here]
Tuesday, April 29, 4-7 PM

Inspired to work at a startup after last week’s panel?

Come out to this high energy event and meet many of our StartX Alum companies (and some of our resource partners) who are recruiting for interns and full time positions starting in the summer.

Be sure to bring copies of your resume!

(Preference given to those who attended “Working at a startup 101”)

Hardware Hack Event [RSVP Here]
Thursday, May 15th, 7-10 PM

Interested in starting a hardware startup? We’re excited to announce that we are piloting a (mini) prototyping lab in our new space!

This is our first step towards better serving the hardware startup community… So come out, help us understand what resources you need, and help us support hardware startups better!
