This is part II.
Silicon Valley is a town I understand, curate and pay attention to. I guess it is how a silly person became an “institution”. Well in this post I reveal: #LarryChiang

Larry Chiang (@LarryChiang)
What Silicon Valley knows about Self Funding But Won’t Tell You #ENGR145

Super majority of time, Silicon Valley luminaries say “self fund”. Most newbies here it as ‘sell fun’. Self funding is an oxymoron. Self funding actually takes place by other people pumping money into You, Inc. Because when alphas are actually saying equals, “do appx 30-35 steps that I actually know but cannot articulate”. I can!! I can articulate the tactics cuz I’m smarter than you and dumber than you.

Call me, ‘found in translation’.
Call me alpha male whisperer bc I know I figured it out. Cuz I sit First Chair Entrepreneurship and Motivationally Listen. You’re welcome for this signature business recipe herein referred to as “#SelfFundSellFun”
Under the above sub-curational hashtag, i reveal the concept of self funding. I take you down the rabbit hole of “What Silicon Valley Knows About Self Funding But Is Not Conscious Competent Enough to Dumb It Down For You”
It starts with…

The basis of #WTWNTYASBS‘s #Ch2 = get a sequence of internships to $200k. #RMRMRE

Google those above subroutines to #SelfFundSellFun.

GrooveBoston (@grooveboston)
2014 Fall Internships are NOW OPEN. Don’t waste your time crunched in a cube, build legendary dance parties instead

This kid is good #SelfFundSellFun
He will close for an internship because he got a “verbal agreement” #LCbasicLaw (verbal agreement, Intenal Escrow, Proprietorshipping, FCRA, #OneWayLetterOfIntent & #InternalEscrow
Legendary interns don’t just quit
They don’t just get an exit interview
They get an #ExitInvestment

Larry Chiang (@LarryChiang)
Then quit that job w/a $1mm investment from ex-boss #MarcBenioff #NEA #ClaraShih #Atari #Fairchild #RMRMRE

Do you know who Clara Shih is

She took Marc Benioff’s investment.
In the comments, tell me what internship she first had.
Kevin and Julia Hartz self funded Eventbrite. I do not know what internships he had. I do know Brian Wong (which will help all y’all Canadians)
Brian Wong (@brian_wong)
At Kiip we still have a few internship roles open for design and BD: ow.ly/9i6Ry

Brian was Matt’s intern

Matt Van Horn (@mvanhorn)

Dave started at Apple before heading up Facebook’s genius developer platform. I do not know what internships he has had either.

Ok Stanfurdh kids…

Larry Chiang (@LarryChiang)
3 legendary internships,
1 study abroad stint
5 legendary, pop-up internships
Maybe co-term.

If you play a sport on the farm, I’m just so happy for you

Meet Lisa Falzone via my YouTube. She self funded for a while
She interned for a while
Now, she’s legendary.
Now, you know what Silicon Valley knows about self funding. No, you can’t be my intern.

Cameron Teitelman was never my intern. I was the Intern to his co-founder, Dan Ha. And Wesley Leung’s and Diana Lee’s intern.
Every other summer, I’d intern. But that’s a different story.
