2013 Working Spring Break for Engineers

by Larry Chiang on January 14, 2013

By Larry Chiang

I gave up ONE spring break and became a legendary undergrad. Have you heard of me?!

I’m Larry

If you haven’t I’m glad to meet via this blog post. Say hi via text / email / Facebook. I’m mayor of Silicon Valley and am an alpha male but you do not salute me– treat me like a fellow undergrad engineer.

Topic: Five birds, one stone.

I like working hard and smart. Youre already working hard as an engr. So lets work a lil more and way UBER smarter

By “5 birds, one stone”, I mean – Get a Legendary Summer Internship – Do SOMETHING real at SXSW – build up your resume – Learn entrepreneurship by doing safe, tested, risk-free LCMCC’s (Larry Chiang mini company concepts #LCMCC) – Keep 100% of money and 100% of your stock (google Larry Chiang 100% affiliate program– it rocks and rocked Stanford University)

How: SXSW for Spring Break for Engineers. Get paid at both the spring break and at the summer internship

Details: Watch the videos at https://www.duck9.com/bases

If 15 UT engineering undergrads “buy” a tix by Feb 15, I’ll come It’s on Eventbrite You’ll have to find it via googling

When I say ‘buy’, I mean pay a deposit that you get back if you show up. It’s a SIGNATURE MANEUVER called LCRRM

Larry Chiang Reverse Rebate Model.

Q: Larry Chiang, this sounds really weird. Is it real Answer: I use the “Naperville Park District” model to be alpha male here in Silicon Valley. I paid a grand total of negative 500 to go through Naperville Park District’s baseball camp program. I studied baseball well enough to get Augie Garrido to leave California to come coach me at the frigid University of Illinois 😉

Naperville Park District is an incredible incubator for talent

Question: Why are you so awesome Answer: To quote Lady Gaga, I was born this way

Question: do you love yourself too much?! Answer: That is borderline rude but fair. I love what I learned from my mentor, Mark McCormack. He died. He is a legend. His teachings live on via me. When I make you rich via this ENGR 145 flavored workshop…, don’t thank me. Thank your parents and your teachers. Thank Bob Metcalfe. Thank Jason. Thank Josh Baer. Thank the man who mentored me to be super street smart when I was an undergrad and semi clueless. Thank Mark McCormack and maybe buy his book on Amazon for 1c.

Question: I’m a female undergrad, will you mentor me?! Answer: all mentorship is done in a group setting. Office hours are done via group setting and the telephone. Plus, watch this video on getting a female mentor as a female

The idea is to leverage ENGR145’s Anchor Concepts: Lemonade and Gua Gua Guacamole

It moves you to the right on the entrepreneur bell curve

It’s at a 2.5 hour workshop that is a sequel workshop. The last workshop was covered in Austin Startup and Austin Business
