Hacking Your Undergrad FICO Score in the Summer

Owing zero and paying zero isn’t a “1” on your credit report. 1, 1, 1…., 1 is good. 24 “1’s” is a FICO over 700 for a college student.

Owing zero and paying with a paper check is an on time payment (credit code “1”. Credit code “2” is 30 days late. Credit code “3” is 60 days late. And so on until Credit code “9” which is YOU’RE A BAD DEBT

Duck the 9’s

Owing zero and paying zero is a credit code “X”

Credit reports make zero distinction between $2.00 paid on time versus $20,000.00 being paid on time

Leverage these details and set a goal to get to a FICO over 700
