Is Privacy, According to TechCrunch, Dead?

by Larry Chiang on October 2, 2012

by Larry Chiang

in the 102nd US Congress…, I went before the House Subcommittee under Commerce to speak on Privacy as it is directly related to credit rights. The two are intertwined because of (1) transparency (2) access (3) fair use (4) disclosure. The FBI has ‘fair use’ to run your credit report with a trace of an inquiry. Even clear laws written to protect consumers on credit and privacy are simply not enforced #FCBA #FCRA and the enforcement arm of the FTC is uber light RE: FreeCreditReport vs AnnualCreditReport
