[NEWS] Former GM Kyle Coleman is now quietly stacking rooftops:
And by this September, he’ll have five under his belt, all in just 18 months.
It started last year with three Iowa stores:
Spirit Lake Ford, Spirit Lake CDJR, and Estherville Chevy-GMC.
But come June, he’s securing a Nissan point, his first Japanese brand.
After that, a second Chevy-GMC closes in September.
And in his words, the growth strategy is simple:
Bet on overlooked brands.
Expand across nameplates
And lean into Iowa’s franchise laws, which make OEM approvals easier to scale.
To fuel the pace, Coleman also co-launched a private equity fund last fall—
A move he says will power his goal of 40 rooftops in 10 years.
His POV? “There’s always one person, in a family, that you look back on from any lineage and…something that was built—that made that decision. And I just decided that…I wanted to be that guy. I wanted to be the guy that built something…for future generations.”
