media panel / University of Utah / #UofUmp #bench2bedside

Media Panel:
#UofUmp #bench2bedside
The idea is that top tier tech reporters will recommend generalities. Gloss over a funny story or five. Generally, they’ll leave you more confused and intimidated and befuddled than before you met them. They do not purposefully do this obfuscation. They accidentally do it.
Solution: they will make a point. I’ll address that point with 20-35 drill downs via a hashtag.
For example, they’ll say: “You should blog your press release.” I’ll think “#MVBP”
For example tech press will say, “Launch parties are useless and EXPENSIVE”. I’ll pattern recognize (#PRPRPI) that #LTMVP works great. Doing an 11 minute party is why I generate more shareholder wealth than all tech press (hahhahahaa outside of Mike Moritz)
For example, tech press will say, “Your medical tubing PVC play isn’t up my alley”, and I’ll think #CTCFTR.
For example, tech press will say: I’ll look into this after I cover the presidents Larry Chiang CTCFTR initiative via an HLS/HBS post (https://bit.ly/vc0311b). I’ll then think “#LC9090i”
I sit front row at Fashion shows because I’m more relevant than the other 6’5″ supermodel male models that are Asian. It’s cuz I write at Harvard/ taught at Stanford

Lol, I’m public school educated.

> The April 9 event will be held from 6-8 pm at the Utah State Capitol, during which time you would judge the projects. We are also hoping that you and the other judges could meet with our students for an hour as part of a panel where you talk about your work.  Ideally, what the students would get out of this is a chance to hear some of the top tech reporters talk briefly about their jobs as well as what reporters look for in a good story should these students move on to the next phase of development of their inventions.

The University of Utah would pay for the trip (plane ticket, hotel, food) for judges and we wondered if you might be interested in judging the event based on your expertise in technology, media and as an entrepreneur.
>>
>> We aren’t expecting media coverage from any of the judges of course, but are looking for journalists who’ve covered emerging technology and have the skill set of being objective when judging various projects. To give you more of a flavor for the event, our web site from last year’s competition is at https://healthsciences.utah.edu/center-for-medical-innovation/students/bench-to-bedside.php.
