November 9-10Neighbor School

In real life, it’s not always easy to love your neighbor. This weekend, we’ll go to neighbor school and take a deeper look at what the Bible says about what it means for us, as Jesus followers, to love the people around us in our daily lives.

November 2-3: Who Is My Neighbor

What does the Bible means when it says to love your neighbor?

There is a lot of confusion about what exactly love is. It’s not a sentimental thing. The best definition of it is very simple and concrete. To love your neighbor is to intend their good. To love somebody is to intend their good as God wills good, as God defines good. You cannot succeed at life and fail at love, and you cannot fail at life if you succeed at love. Love is what our lives are all about.

This week, spend a few minutes talking to someone passing by…move your neighbor’s newspaper closer to the doorstep. Is there something you can do this week to ‘intend good’ for your neighbor?

Last weekend’s message.
