“Your VC is just not that into you”

by Larry Chiang on September 23, 2014

By Larry Chiang
My favorite thing when I hook-up with a girl is check out three things
– Number of pillows on futon
– What books are on her shelf
(Number three I’ll tell you down below:-)
So last weekend, I was in cow hollow with a freshie fresh. After BarNone, we head back to her place and fast forward to her bathroom time.
Bathroom time = my time to speed read what is on her bookshelf. The idea is that if I’m going to eventually share my flower on date #19, Imma gonna need to really know you. So I want to know what you upload to your brain (aka read)
I saw the book, “He’s Just Not That Into You”!
I speed read Greg Behrendt’s book and parallel it to entrepreneurship. His “He’s Just Not That Into You” is a pattern I recognize. “Your VC is just not that into you”
– Symptoms START –
a) Your suitor is slow to respond
b) Your potential suitor does not initiate
c) your potential VC makes really good excuses
Remember Mike Maples slept on Evan Williams sofa. Founders Fund VCs send limos. VCs were paying me cash to pitch ME

I do not tell you these things to impress you. I am writing this blog about money and treasure so that you can pay attention to the things I pay attention to. It is because I hacked VC.

I also hacked LP. But that’s a different article called “What LP’s should be asking GP’s”. LP is limited partner. They fund VC funds. GP is the head of a VC. It stands for General Partner
Join me in HACKING VC so that “Your VC will be super into you and your unFunded startup. Where your VC will fund your inexperienced startup founder team”
How?!
I said hacking.
Hacking implies running computer science subroutines.
Business hacking has signature subroutines. They occur over and over. I pattern recognized these business signature subroutines and put a hashtag to these sequential steps many founders have taken
For example, “MVBP” is Minimum Viable Blog Post” is #MVBP. It’s 12 sentences, 2 pics, one focus. On a wordpress. It helps you crash a tech conference. #MVBP leads you to “Go From Crasher to VIP”
That maneuver, Crasher to VIP has a hashtag and is presented and previewed along with 23 other hashtags in the below two videos:
Is a bit ly I memorized that links to
Lever my work with #ReverseVC and make VCs pay attention. Reverse VC is an open source franchise, so you’re welcome to use it to charge the VC you want
Remember, asking for $300 in VC funding will greatly increase your likelihood of getting $3mm
– $500,
– $500k
– 3mm syndicated
VCs, like women and MLB GM’s, Major League Baseball general managers, are SHEEP. They wanna be herded.
VCs wanna be herded.
Will you lead us?!
Will you dictate and lead?!
Remember, we women wanna be led. If you let us boss you around, we women will boss you around, but then we won’t respect Yu
I did a stint as a woman (because I did gender reversal exercise as a female founder https://women2.com/tag/Larry-Chiang/)
See how we women can get mentored
See how we can get VCs to pay us by mastering SXSW (Austin Texas’ South by Southwest)
