Most Popular Tweets From NCIIA (@nciia) 2014

by Larry Chiang on April 4, 2014

By Larry Chiang
This was the most popular tweet.

NCIIA (@nciia)
#UIFellows tell faculty at Open: Students move faster than you do. Latch onto your students if you want to make change! #nciiaopen @nciia

At the time it had 10 retweets and 5 favorites.

While popular, it didn’t have a follow-up action plan. While popular, it didn’t address specific things faculty and admin do to impede students. I’m Larry Chiang and these are
/1/ things to pay attention to
/2/ how things might turn out on campus
/3/ what to focus on
/4/ cliche patterns I see time and time again. Pattern recognition is a fault of mine

In-fighting caused the undergrad friendly franchise #StartupSchool to get banished from Stanford/Cal to a JuCo #NCIIAOpen

Don’t blame the messenger. YC now hosts Startup School (& Larry Chiang Startup Academy) at a community college in Santa Clara off the 101 highway

Intimidated by the awesomeness of Stanfurdh’s @StartX #NCIIAOpen? There was considerable pressure against it***

Download the TechCrunch article I wrote that got three Stanford administrators FIRED by googling “Larry Chiang sse labs techcrunch”

Ask Cal admin why they made their students call it “Berkeley Startup Week” #NCIIAOpen (#CalEweek #RachelTheUndergrad)

You can’t even make this bureaucracy  up. Students self organized an entrepreneur week. But cal called and said NO.

So, in my very finite wisdom…,
– hosted California Entrepreneur Week at Stanford Mall
– did minimum viable events
– used the hashtag #CalEWeek
– sequeled it off my stewardship of #StanfordeWeek from specific permission granted to me by an admin at Stanford to execute the Stanford Entrepreneur Week Facebook fan page
– thus I solo founded #CalEWeek
You’re welcome Cal.
I hope all y’all suck less ;-P

Download via text message 650-283-8008 a PDF called “how all y’all campus administrators, faculty and leaders can pattern iterate what “Mecca” has done (mecca is also known as Stanford University. Obvi it’s free cuz I’m hecka rich
#ENGR145’s a hashtag that’s cool. It’s all things technology entrepreneurship and in the #SharkTank feed too. Cuz the ABC Show casting company calls me all the time to do their show
I present all of ENGR145’s 14 hashtags all free and all in this 9:59 video
