SELL SOMETHING #openCoSF #InnovateSF

By Larry Chiang

Heard of the $1B startup AirBnb?!

Well the founders sold cereal. True story my undergrad engineering friend.

This is a pattern I recognize over and over and over-and-over and over

Pattern replicate this.

They couldn’t sell sofa space so they sold cereal to promote AirBnb. Brian Chesky made money while they were building shareholder equity (Gua Gua Guacamole recipe #12: Make money while you’re making money)

MEMORIZE: ENGR145’s Anchor Concept: “Lemonade and Gua Gua Guacamole”

It moves you to the right on the entrepreneur bell curve

Memorize well enough to teach this.
