I’m R2D2-ing a Demo Day Like a Virgin

by Larry Chiang on October 13, 2012

By Larry Chiang

I crash demo days.

They fill me with white entrepreneurial light. Why?! They’re females and males on the cusp of an inflection point in life.

I simultaneously get a half chubb and almost cry when young humans make the tranie (transition) from random homo sapiens to legendary entrepreneur rock star of technology.

This past week, I was in Austin, Texas for Capital Factory. It’s a business incubator and accelerator on the top floor of a really nice building (the Omni Hotel). Anyway, I’m known for doubling the value of a man entering entrepreneurship. I’m also known for blogging as a woman named Larry Chiang. Google “Larry Chiang women”.

My ‘secret sauce’ is 13 entrepreneur recipes my mentor taught me: Gua Gua Guacamole. Using 2-5 recipes doubles your shareholder equity without a nickel of venture capital (VC) money. This knowledge of specific recipes (or pattern recognition, pattern replication, pattern iteration) is based on a 1983 book by my mentor: Mark McCormack. He wrote the NY Times bestseller, “What They Don’t Teach You at Harvard Business School”

I just R2D2 his stuff. Seriously, I got to teach for three years at the best school for business education (Stanford Engineering) because I R2D2 copy pasted his stuff.

So busting my cherry here in Austin Texas, I will recommend to Austin Startups what my mentor, Mark McCormack, would recommend you do (if he had time for you away from running IMG, the largest talent agency and IF he were alive which he is NOT)… So, I’m going to do my best to R2D2 those “business recipes from 1983″… Err, Gua Gua Guacamole business recipes :-)))

Mmmk?!?!
